The One Year Biblical
Certificate

At the present time, Agape Institute offers a one-year Certificate Program in Biblical Studies. The Certificate Program provides a foundational academic experience designed to give students a core working knowledge of the Old and New Testaments, Christian theology, and spiritual growth through the light of God's character of agape love as taught by Jesus Christ, and the two trees in the Garden of Eden.

Program Framework:
This sample curriculum provides a structured two-year pathway in biblical studies. Year 1 leads to the Certificate in Biblical Studies and establishes biblical, doctrinal, spiritual and ministry foundations. Year 2 leads to the Diploma in Biblical Studies and develops deeper biblical interpretation, theology, preaching, leadership, missions and practical ministry competence.

Admission and Progression:
Year 1 admission is intended for students seeking foundational Bible and ministry education. Entry to Year 2 will require successful completion of the Year 1 Certificate in Biblical Studies or demonstration of equivalent prior biblical studies approved by Agape School.

Suggested Assessment Pattern:
Each course includes two short quizzes and one major essay.
A suggested weighting is:
Quiz 1 – 15%
Quiz 2 – 15%
Major Essay – 40%
Participation/weekly learning activities/final application – 30%.
Suggested minimum passing grade: 60%.

Course Numbering:
100-level courses are Certificate-level studies.
200-level courses are Diploma-level studies.

SFM – Spiritual Formation;
MIN – Ministry;
LDR – Leadership;
MIS – Missions.
